Hi, I'm Kayla - the artist behind Auclay.
I was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where I still call home with my family - my twin boys, amazing partner, and our super spoiled pup, Gamora. I earned my degree in Culinary Arts, but creativity has always found its way into every part of my life. Whether I'm cooking, crafting, listening to music, or escaping to the mountains whenever I can, I've always been happiest creating something beautiful with my hands.
Auclay was born from both creativity and necessity. As a mom to twin boys with Autism Spectrum Disorder, life took an unexpected turn when one of my sons required more support than traditional daycare settings could provide. Staying home to care for him meant finding a new way to help support my family while still doing something that brought me joy. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a business built with purpose.
The name Auclay holds a special meaning. The "Au" is inspired by my twin boys and their autism diagnosis - a reminder that every piece I create is rooted in love, resilience, and the beauty of embracing what makes us unique.
Every pair of earrings is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted with the hope that you'll find something that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and uniquely yourself.
Giving back is an important part of Auclay's mission. That's why 2% of every sale - one percent for each of my twins - is donated to a local autism foundation that supports children and families in our community. It's my way of honoring my boys while helping create opportunities and resources for others walking a similar path.
Thank you for supporting a small business, a handmade craft, and a family whose story is woven into every piece. I'm so grateful you're here.
